NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
This contest (the "Contest") is sponsored and administered by vACA, an unincorporated virtual airline and hobbyist flight simulation community operating from Ontario, Canada (the "Sponsor"). vACA is not a registered business, corporation, or charity, carries on no commercial activity, and holds no assets. The Contest is run on a non-commercial, at-cost basis for the enjoyment of vACA members.
All Contest correspondence must be directed to [email protected]. No mailing address is maintained and none is required to enter or to claim the prize.
No affiliation. vACA is a fan-operated virtual airline. The Contest and vACA are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, affiliated with, or associated in any way with Air Canada, Airbus SE, Microsoft Corporation, Xbox Game Studios, Asobo Studio, Synaptic Simulations, iniBuilds, Discord Inc., or any other third party. All trademarks, logos, liveries, and brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used, if at all, for descriptive and non-commercial hobbyist purposes only.
2. Contest period
The Contest begins on July 28, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and ends on August 20, 2026 at 23:59 UTC (the "Contest Period"). The Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals who, as of the date of entry:
a) are registered members in good standing of vACA; and b) have reached the age of majority in their province, territory, state, or country of residence.
The Contest is open worldwide. There is no residency restriction.
The following are not eligible to enter or win: the Sponsor's staff, administrators, moderators, event organizers, and volunteers with access to Contest administration; individuals involved in the development or administration of the Contest; and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) of, or persons domiciled with, any of the foregoing.
vACA membership is and remains free. No paid membership, subscription, donation, tip, Patreon tier, or other payment or contribution of value is required to join vACA, to file PIREPs, to enter this Contest, or to be eligible to win, and no such payment or contribution will improve any entrant's chances of winning.
Void where prohibited. The Contest is void wherever it is prohibited or restricted by law. It is each entrant's own responsibility to ensure that participation is lawful in their jurisdiction, and the Sponsor accepts no liability in respect of any entrant who participates from a jurisdiction where the Contest is not permitted. The Sponsor may withhold the prize where awarding it would breach any applicable law, and may in that case select an alternate entrant under Section 9.
Language. These Rules are available in both English and French. The French version is available at https://canadava.com/fr/nouveau-dossier/conditions-generales-utilisation-2.
4. How to enter
To receive one (1) entry into the Contest, an eligible individual must, during the Contest Period, complete both of the following steps:
File twenty (20) valid PIREPs (pilot reports) through the vACA operations system; and
Register participation using the official registration form at https://canadava.com/events/a220.
Both steps must be completed before the end of the Contest Period. Entries received after the Contest Period ends will be void.
Limit: one (1) entry per person. Filing more than 20 PIREPs does not increase the number of entries or improve chances of winning. Entering or attempting to enter using more than one vACA account, identity, email address, or simulator account will void all of that person's entries and may result in removal from vACA.
There is no cost to enter beyond an entrant's own existing internet access and flight simulator software, which the Sponsor does not provide and for which the Sponsor is not responsible.
5. What counts as a valid PIREP
A PIREP is "valid" for the purposes of this Contest only if it:
a) is filed against a vACA route or flight assignment during the Contest Period; b) reflects a flight actually flown by the entrant in a supported flight simulator; c) is accepted by vACA staff under vACA's standard PIREP acceptance criteria; and d) is not filed in a manner that breaches the vACA rules in force at the time.
Automatically invalid. Without limiting the Sponsor's discretion, the following will not be counted and may result in disqualification: PIREPs generated by scripts, bots, macros, autoclickers, or flight-injection tools; PIREPs for flights not actually flown; duplicate or resubmitted PIREPs for the same flight; PIREPs filed from a shared, borrowed, or secondary account; falsified flight data; and any PIREP filed in breach of simulation-rate, aircraft, or route restrictions specified in the vACA rules.
The Sponsor's determination of PIREP validity is final and binding. The Sponsor reserves the right to audit any entrant's PIREPs at any time and to require reasonable supporting evidence (such as flight logs or screenshots) as a condition of eligibility.
6. Prize
One (1) prize is available to be won, consisting of:
Store credit with a value of CAD $131.21, issued as either an iniBuilds Store gift card or a Microsoft / Xbox gift card, determined in accordance with the paragraph below.
Approximate retail value: CAD $131.21. The gift card may be issued in a foreign currency, and the Canadian dollar value may vary with exchange rates and available denominations. Any difference between the stated and actual value will not be awarded.
Which card the winner receives. This Contest is promoted in connection with the launch of the Synaptic Simulations / iniBuilds Airbus A220-300, which launched as a Microsoft Flight Simulator in-game Marketplace exclusive. The Sponsor will determine the form of the prize at the time of the draw, as follows:
If the A220-300 is available for purchase on the iniBuilds Store at the time of the draw, the prize will be issued as an iniBuilds Store gift card.
If it is not, the prize will be issued as a Microsoft / Xbox gift card, which may be redeemed toward the A220-300 through the in-game Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace.
The Sponsor's determination as to which form the prize takes is made in its sole discretion and is final. The winner may not elect, request, or exchange for a different form of gift card.
The prize is store credit. The prize is a gift card, not a licence, key, or copy of any product. While its value has been set with the A220-300 in mind, the Sponsor makes no representation or warranty that the gift card will cover the full purchase price of the A220-300 or of any other product, including applicable taxes, regional pricing, or currency conversion. The winner is solely responsible for any shortfall.
Prize conditions. The prize is awarded "as is," with no warranty or guarantee of any kind, express or implied, by the Sponsor. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and may not be substituted for cash. No portion of the prize may be redeemed for cash. The prize does not include Microsoft Flight Simulator itself, any aircraft or add-on, hardware, internet access, applicable taxes, or any other cost, and is subject to the issuer's own terms, conditions, and expiry rules, over which the Sponsor has no control. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes arising from receipt of the prize, and for redeeming the gift card before any expiry date set by the issuer.
The prize will be delivered electronically to the email address provided by the winner. The Sponsor's obligation is discharged upon sending a valid, unredeemed gift card code to that address.
The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled for any reason.
7. Winner selection and odds
On or about August 21, 2026, one (1) potential winner will be selected by random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will be conducted by the Sponsor using a verifiable random selection method.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
8. Skill-testing question
Before being declared a winner and receiving the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor. The question will be a four-operation arithmetic problem. The entrant must answer without the use of a calculator, computer, or assistance from any other person, and must respond within the time specified by the Sponsor at the time the question is administered.
If the selected entrant fails to answer correctly, they will be disqualified and forfeit all rights to the prize, and the Sponsor may select an alternate entrant in accordance with Section 9.
9. Notification, verification and forfeiture
The selected entrant will be notified by the Sponsor using the contact details associated with their vACA account and/or their Contest registration, within approximately three (3) days of the draw.
The selected entrant must, within five (5) days of the date the notification is sent:
a) respond to the notification; b) correctly answer the skill-testing question; c) confirm eligibility and, if requested, provide reasonable proof of age and residency; d) sign and return a declaration and release in the form required by the Sponsor; and e) provide the information reasonably necessary for prize fulfilment.
The selected entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize if they cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, fail to respond within the period above, decline the prize, fail the skill-testing question, are found ineligible, provide false information, or fail to comply with these Rules in any respect. In that event, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion and time permitting, to select an alternate entrant by random draw from the remaining eligible entries, subject to the same conditions. The Sponsor is not obligated to award the prize if no eligible entrant is validly selected.
10. Release and limitation of liability
By entering, each entrant agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor and its staff, administrators, volunteers, officers, directors, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest, the acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of the prize, or any technical or human error in the administration of the Contest.
The Released Parties are not responsible for: lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, or undelivered entries, registrations, PIREPs, or notifications; failures or malfunctions of any website, server, network, flight simulator, operations system, third-party platform, or communications line; unauthorized intervention in the Contest; typographical or other errors in these Rules or in any Contest-related material; or any injury, loss, or damage to any person's computer, simulator installation, or account arising from participation in the Contest.
To the extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of the Released Parties in connection with the Contest shall not exceed the approximate retail value of the prize stated in Section 6.
Nothing in these Rules limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
11. Publicity
By entering, each entrant consents to the Sponsor announcing their vACA callsign, pilot ID, and/or username in connection with the results of the Contest, on the vACA website, Pilot Portal, and Discord server, without further notice, compensation, or consideration, except where prohibited by law. The Sponsor will not publish an entrant's legal name, address, or email address without separate consent.
12. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used by the Sponsor solely for the purposes of administering the Contest, verifying eligibility, and fulfilling the prize, in accordance with vACA's Privacy Policy at https://canadava.com/privacy-policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
Entering the Contest does not subscribe you to any mailing list. Any consent to receive commercial electronic messages from vACA is collected separately and may be withdrawn at any time.
13. General conditions
Contest is a contract. By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
Right to modify or cancel. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice, including if the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control. Where the Contest is terminated, the Sponsor may award the prize by random draw from among the eligible entries received up to the time of termination.
Disqualification. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process, the operation of the Contest, or the vACA operations system, has acted in violation of these Rules, or has acted in a disruptive, abusive, or unsportsmanlike manner.
Severability. If any provision of these Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Governing law. These Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and each entrant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
Rules prevail. In the event of any inconsistency between these Official Rules and any Contest advertising, promotional post, social media copy, or other material, these Official Rules prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
14. Platform disclaimer
The Contest is promoted on the vACA Discord server and the vACA Pilot Portal. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Discord Inc., and entrants release Discord Inc. from any and all liability in connection with the Contest. Where the Contest is promoted on any other third-party platform, the same applies to that platform.
